Opera Action Presentation Evening

Opera Action Limited is pleased to share with you an opportunity to recognise how the leisure and entertainment industry in West Cumbria could potentially advance and be enriched. We would like to invite you to an exciting event on Friday 12th August 2011, which will hopefully provide you with a unique insight into our plans for Workington’s historic Opera House.

We are hosting an evening of presentations and information at the Helena Thompson Museum, Park End Road, Workington. Light refreshments will be provided from 19.30, as we bestow upon guests detailed presentations by Opera Action Ltd’s Keith Beattie, rarely before seen footage of The Ritz, and photographs and memorabilia from the Opera House’s heyday and current state.

Gary Trinder, Vice Chairman and Technical Director of Stockport Plaza Theatre, will be exhibiting how their 1930s theatre was rescued from demolition, revitalised, and used to rejuvenate the town’s evening entertainment scene completely. Gary Trinder and David Eve have been kind enough to give Opera Action Ltd expert advice during our campaign, and will explain to guests how the regeneration of the Opera House would benefit Workington and West Cumbria.

We earnestly hope that you can make this special evening, and look forward to sharing with you our findings. If you have any further queries, or would like more details of the night, please do not hesitate to contact is.
